Friday Outrageous to make 4 servings Make one tray of best thing ever Friday outrageous brownies (the nuts are optional) One quantity of chocolate pouring sauce
250ml double cream lightly whipped with a teaspoon of icing sugar and quarter teaspoon vanilla extract
8-10 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Any other sprinkles you may wish to add or even more chocolate.
4 large sundae glasses.
4 glacé cherries.
Method Cut the tray of brownies into 12 pieces. Place 3 brownies into each sundae dish and place them singly into a microwave and up until softened ( about 30 seconds on medium heat). Into each glass place 2-3 scoops of ice cream on top of the brownies. Place the chocolate sauce into the microwave and warm until runny but do not let it get too hot and burn , 30 seconds on medium. Spoon 2-3 desert spoons of chocolate sauce into each glass. Spoon a desert spoon of whipped cream into each glass. Top each glass with a scattering of Maltesers, and other sprinkles of choice. Serve topped with a glacé cherry.
Chocolate pouring sauce
100g plain chocolate, at least 50% cocoa butter.
2 tablespoons water or 2 tablespoons brandy.
50g icing sugar.
25g unsalted butter.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Put all the ingredients in a heatproof bowl standing over a pan of gently simmering water. Heat gently stirring all the time until all the ingredients are melted and a smooth sauce is formed. Remove from the heat and pour into a heatproof jug and leave until needed.
